At Sailing Clothing Store, we stand behind our gear as firmly as you stand on your dinghy. If for any reason you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, we offer straightforward returns and exchanges within 15 days of receiving your order.
Our Return Promise
We understand that sailing gear needs to perform under pressure. If our products don’t meet your expectations on the water, we’ll make it right. Returns must be in original condition with tags attached and packaging intact.
Smooth Sailing Returns Process
- Submit Your Request: Email our crew at [email protected] within 15 days of delivery using our Return Request Template below.
- Receive Authorization: We’ll respond within 2 business days with return instructions and your RMA number.
- Ship It Back: Package the item securely and include your RMA number clearly on the package. We recommend using a trackable shipping method.
- Inspection & Processing: Our team will inspect the returned items within 3 business days of receipt.
- Refund or Exchange: Once approved, we’ll process your refund or ship your exchange within 2 business days.

Refund Information
Once your return is approved:
- Timing: Refunds are processed within 3-5 business days after we receive your return. The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your payment method:
- Credit/Debit Cards: 5-10 business days
- PayPal: 3-5 business days
- Amount: You’ll receive a refund for the product price. Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
- Method: Refunds are issued to your original payment method.
Exchange Options
Prefer different gear? We offer hassle-free exchanges:
- Size/Color Exchanges: We’ll ship your new item as soon as we process your return
- Product Exchanges: Contact us for availability of alternative dinghy equipment
Note: For exchanges to higher-value items, you’ll need to pay the difference. For lower-value items, we’ll refund the difference.
Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped or defective product). For exchanges, we’ll cover the shipping cost of your new item.
International Returns
For sailors outside the US:
- Please mark the package as “Returned Goods” to avoid customs charges
- Original shipping fees and any import duties/taxes are non-refundable
- We recommend using a trackable shipping method as we can’t be responsible for lost return packages
Damaged or Defective Items
If your sailing gear arrives damaged or defective:
- Contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the damage
- We’ll arrange for a prepaid return label if needed
- Receive a replacement or full refund at no additional cost
